Our Process

Manufacturing of Guayaberas with embroidery

The process may vary slightly depending on the design previously developed; however, we will organize it in a general way.

  1. Make the design of the gathers and embroidery for the guayabera.
  2. Along with the above, the fabric for the garment is chosen.
  3. The fabric is cut and the elaborate design is embroidered.
  4. The gathers are made, the folds typical of a guayabera.
  5. All the parts of the guayabera are assembled
  6. All finishes are carried out including ironing.
  7. And ready to use.

The process of making a guayabera is a bit varied, it actually depends on the model. We can say that first the design of the garment is made; pleats, embroidery, details, etc. Along with the above, the fabric in which it will be made is decided. When it comes to fine garments, the most suitable is 100% linen, however, we do not make everything in this fine fabric because it raises the prices a lot. If the guayabera has embroidery, it is decided whether this is done before or after the pleats; later all the parts are assembled and finally it is ironed.

Handcrafted Dresses
  • Since we are known for embroidery, 100% of our women's garments feature this beautiful art that can be handmade, artisanal or digital, depending on the design.
  • One of the most difficult parts is designing the clothes. MAYAKIM is known for having its own garments, exclusive designs from the brand. Periodically, we enter and withdraw models from the market.
  • After the design, the clothing is usually traced and then embroidered; this art is done on garments to highlight feminine beauty. Our combinations are harmonious and elegant at the same time.
  • The parts of the clothing are assembled or put together to finally iron and wear with pride.
